for 1803, with 32in. laminate barrels (rusted and pitted externally), the top-rib signed in gilt 'MANTON LONDON', applied white-metal fore-sight, twin gold bands to the breech-blocks and gold lined touch-holes, border engraved locks with inward curving tails and signed 'MANTON' below the semi rainproof pans, rollers to the frizzen-springs and French cocks, walnut half-stock cracked through and repaired at wrist and forwards and below both locks, iron furniture (cleaned) and worm-tipped ramrod
Provenance: This shotgun is recorded in the Manton Supplement by Neal & Back where it incorrectly notes the touch-holes are lined in platinum
